Taxis are available 24 hours per day. Taxis are available
on the arrival and departure levels at MIA.
Reservations are not needed for taxi service originating at
MIA.
Shuttles
Shuttle vans are also available 24 hours per day. Shuttle
vans can be found on the ground level of the terminal building,
outside the baggage claim area.

Rental
Car rental companies with desks at the terminal include Avis,
Budget, Dollar, Hertz and National. The vehicles for all companies
are off site, accessed by a courtesy shuttle van: rental cars

Train Services
Although taxis and other private transportation are available
at Miami International Airport, many travelers to the Greater
Miami area choose to use public transportation to reach local
destinations. Before boarding public transportation, be sure
to verify hours of service for each route. Please call 305-770-3131,
weekdays 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.; weekends, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Tri-Rail a tri-county commuter train, serves Miami-Dade,
Broward, and Palm Beach counties. The airport station is just
east of the airport, across LeJeune Road on NW 21st Street.

In addition to Tri-Rail, Metro-Rail is a fixed-rail
system which provides transportation to areas throughout Dade
County. Metro-Mover is another fixed-rail system which provides
transportation to popular locations in the Downtown Miami

Metrorail runs from 5:08 a.m. to midnight seven days a week.
Trains arrive every six minutes during weekday rush hours,
every 15 minutes at midday, and every 30 minutes after 8 p.m.
Weekend service runs every 20 minutes until 8 p.m. when trains
arrive every 30 minutes.
Shuttle connections to Metro-Rail and to the Tri-Rail station
are available from the Concourse E Bus Station on the ground
level, directly across from U.S. Customs.
The Metro-Dade Transit Department provides numerous services
providing transport to all areas of Dade County, Miami and
Brickell areas. For additional information, travellers can
also call 1-800-TRI-RAIL, from anywhere in the state of Florida.
Bus Services
Only Greyhound, a private company, provides direct service
from Miami to the Keys. There is no direct public transit
service to the Keys. Greyhound operates the "Florida Keys
Transportation Service" which offers scheduled service
to the most popular Florida Key destinations (Key Largo, Islamorada,

Metro-Bus is the local, city bus service which provides
scheduled service to all areas of Dade County. Visit their

Parking
Miami International Airport operates two multi-level parking
garages, the Dolphin Garage and the Flamingo Garage. Both
garages offer long-term parking and are connected to the terminal
building by moving sidewalks located on the 3rd level. Disabled
and stroller parking is also located on the 3rd level of each

Long-Term Parking
Long-Term Parking is available for $4.00 per hour for the
first two hours and $2.00 for the third hour. The maximum
cost is $15.00 per day.
Short-Term Parking
Cars can park for $2.50 the first half hour up to a maximum
of $30.00 for an entire day. Short-Term Parking is located
near the terminal building and identified as Upper and Lower
Level Park One.
